John and Kate met in 1999 at Murray State University. We were introduced on the 8th floor of the Fine Arts Center on campus where we were both television majors, and worked together at
MSU TV-11 . One month after being introduced, our television department went on a convention to Virginia Beach. We were both dating other people at the time, but discovered after the convention that we were crazy about each other, and wanted to be together. After 3 1/2 years of dating, we married in June of 2003. We are very excited to announce that we are expecting our first baby Broeckling in February 2008. We are going to be very surprised the day of the baby's arrival, since we will not be finding out the sex.
